1. Enjoy Busch Gardens on New Year’s Eve
Busch Gardens’ famous Christmas Town is quite the attraction at both the Williamsburg and Tampa Bay locations. You and your family can savor that little, last bit of Christmas cheer while welcoming in the New Year with bright lights, great food and festive drinks.
Busch Gardens Christmas Town Tickets are available on the park’s website. If you have a membership to the park, there is no extra charge. You can visit until early January.
2. Spend New Years Eve at Crystal Gardens
Now this is different! The Crystal Gardens is a breathtaking, indoor botanical garden in Chicago! Known for lavish weddings and events, there is an annual New Year’s Eve party here that’s great for adults.
The event, which takes place within the indoor garden, features Chicago’s top DJs, fancy drinks, a private terrace to enjoy the city’s firework shows and a midnight champagne toast! If you’re going to be in the Windy City to usher in 2019, this ticket might be worth its hefty price.
3. Spend NYE Under the Lights at Brookgreen Gardens
If you’re spending New Year’s Eve in the Carolinas, consider attending Brookgreen Gardens’ signature New Year’s Eve event in Murrells Inlet, which is near Myrtle Beach.
At Brookgreen, the Under the Lights New Year’s Eve Stroll includes thousands of hand-lit candles, holiday lights and festive music. The event is held from 6pm to 9pm, making it a great option for those with even young children. And the price is right, too, with tickets for non-members still coming in at only $20.
4. Spend NYE Down Under at The Royal Botanical Garden Sydney
If you’ve got airline miles to burn, head to Sydney, Australia for the adventure of a lifetime. And while you’re there, check out the award-winning Royal Botanical Garden. Its New Year’s Eve programming is really many different, outrageous parties, all connected by harbor-side views of midnight fireworks.
Choose from events like the all-ages, vintage-circus-themed Harbour Hoopla or the fancy cocktail party nestled right near the Opera House. Or take it easy at the bring-your-own-picnic party with breathtaking views. Whatever type of party you’re looking for, there’s a good chance this Sydney garden is hosting it.
5. Pull Out Your Tuxedos and Gowns at Sarasota’s Selby Botanical Gardens
If wandering a festively-lit botanical garden in jeans and a sweater isn’t swaggy enough for you, consider purchasing tickets to Sarasota’s Selby Botanical Gardens’ sophisticated black tie event, held annually on New Year’s Eve. The seated, four-course dinner features special performances by performances by the Sarasota Ballet Studio Company and the Margaret Barbieri Conservatory.
Unfortunately, the event sells out quickly! Call and ask them about next year if you can’t snag a ticket to the 2018 soiree.
6. Discover Blossoms of Light at Denver Botanic Gardens
If you’re in Denver for winter break, visit the city’s botanic gardens and enjoy the color-changing, festive light displays draped throughout the grounds. This event, which ends its run on New Year’s Day, sells out every season, so grab tickets well in advance!
Blossoms of Light has been happening for over 30 years now, and the garden is going all out for 2018. Wanna go really big? You can even host a holiday party or birthday party for a child within the festival! Reach out to the garden via email for more information—even if it’s about planning for next year!
